Local businesses nominated for B.C. awards
Eleven small business in Victoria have been nominated for the 13th annual Small Business B.C. Awards.
The local businesses include: Active Ingredient Coaching, Adedia, BRIJ Marketing, DeeBee's SpecialTea Foods, E-Quick, E-Quick eco-Courier, Picture This .today, Pure ELLEments Wellness, Sapphire Day Spa Ltd., Wildwood Outdoor Living Centre and Your Perfect Gift.
The Small Business B.C. Awards are the most visible awards program in B.C. for small business owners and entrepreneurs. A key part of the award's mission is to celebrate the contributions of new and existing businesses registered in B.C. with fewer than 50 employees.
Recipients of the awards will be recognized with a $1,500 cash prize, along with a one-year, all-access pass to Small Business B.C. education resources and experts, and one-on-one business mentorship opportunities with notable advisors from award sponsors.
The contest is open for nominations and voting until Nov. 30. The public is invited to nominate their favourite small business, and nominated business owners will be tasked with gaining as many votes as possible through social media, word of mouth, email or any other means possible.
The businesses with the highest number of votes in each award category will be announced as the top 10 on Dec. 11. Judges will determine the top five based on a detailed application from the nominees. The top five will then be invited to present a 10-minute Dragons' Den-style pitch to the judges to present themselves as one of B.C.'s best.
The winners of each category will be announced at the awards ceremony on Feb. 25 at the Pan Pacific Vancouver Hotel. For more details visit sbbcawards.ca.
