Six Victorians recognized for lifesaving
Instead of panicking or passing the buck, six Victorians stepped up to perform CPR during three separate medical emergencies. On Wednesday, B.C. Ambulance Service recognized their role in saving a life.
Most recently, on Jan. 13, Denyce Krupa was walking past a barber shop when the barber Paul Goodwin called her in to assist an elderly man in the chair. Goodwin relayed step-by-step instructions from dispatchers while Krupa performed CPR, until paramedics arrived.
Other award recipients include Scott and Holly Coulter, Nathan Gilmore and Sharon Montgomery.
