World's styles modelled for refugee fundraiser

Global fashions will take to the runway for the second fundraiser of its kind to support the Victoria Immigrant and Refugee Centre Society.Fashion trends from around the world will be presented, as well as food, drinks, door prizes, a silent auction, music and dance. All proceeds go to VIRCS, to help refugees and immigrants find employment and live in Greater Victoria.The event happens Sunday, Aug. 28 at 6:30 p.m. at the Delta Ocean Pointe Hotel ballroom, Tickets are $50, available at www.globalfashions.org/tickets.html.
