Free transit for vets, military members on Remembrance Day

Transit fares are on the house for Canadian veterans and currently serving military personnel in honour of Remembrance Day on Nov. 11.

B.C. Transit is providing the service throughout Greater Victoria to all uniformed military personnel, and those showing army, navy and air force association cards.

Safety permitting, B.C. Transit drivers will stop their buses at 11 a.m. for a minute of silence.

Saturday-level service will be in effect on the statutory holiday. For details, please visit www.bctransit.com.
