Arrogant Worms still turning
Even after 20 years they’re still wild and crazy guys.
Comedy/songwriting trio the Arrogant Worms are in town St. Patrick’s Day (March 17) for a 7:30 p.m. performance at Alix Goolden Hall, 907 Pandora Ave.
The trio got their start as students at Queen’s University. CBC soon picked up on one of their songs, about cross-border shopping, and the irreverent cultural observers were on their way. They’ve since performed in the Grand Canyon and at Grey Cup, among other venues.
Canadian astronaut Chris Hadfield even played their song “Dangerous” on board the space shuttle Endeavor.
Tickets are $28 at the door or $25.50 in advance from Lyle’s Place, Ditch Records, or McPherson box office, 250-386-6121.
