UPDATE: VicPD identifies cyclist accused of spitting on vehicle’s passengers

Police say it’s unknown what led to the alleged April incident

A cyclist who allegedly spat on a vehicle’s passengers turned himself in to police after they asked for public assistance in looking for him.

On April 19, a man was driving with his father on Dallas Road before a cyclist spat at both of them through an open passenger window at an intersection near Cook Street.

Police said it’s unknown what led to the alleged incident.

On Wednesday, May 8, police said he turned himself in to VicPD headquarters.
