Help to feed the hungry

The Salvation Army works every day to give hope and restore dignity in our community. The simplest of things such as a hot meal, a place to belong or feeling loved can make the biggest difference in the life of someone who is lost and hurting.

The charity’s annual advisory board luncheon is on May 15, when members will discuss programs and services The Salvation Army offers to the community.

Tickets are on sale for the event now. The Honourable Judith Guichon, Lieutenant Governor of British Columbia is the guest speaker.

The lunch is on from noon to 1:30 p.m. at the Delta Ocean Pointe, 45 Songhees Rd. Tickets are $40 each, $400 for a table for 10. Contact Kyla Ferns at 250-386-3366 ext. 3 or 250-686-4283, email Kyla_Ferns@can.salvationarmy.org.
