Oak Bay Community Association president Tom Croft and his wife Jill check out a freshly framed Oak Bay Community Green Map with Mayor Nils Jensen at Oak Bay municipal hall.

The map, which was put together by volunteers and the Oak Bay Community Association over six years, was presented to council at Monday’s meeting. Unframed copies of the map are still available by donation at local recreation centres and at Oak Bay Volunteer Services.

The unique map is richly illustrated with vibrant, colourful images and icons, it plots locations the people of Oak Bay identified as being central to the identity of the community, such as bike and walking trails, along with details on the history, heritage, climate and community resources of Oak Bay.
