Pearkes hosts weekend transportation expo

Shift into gear with a sustainable transportation expo this weekend at Pearkes arena.

Test drive electric vehicles, learn about bike maintenance, hear from B.C. Transit and more during the Changing Gears Expo, which has something for every type of commuter in Greater Victoria.

Free sessions will feature speakers and panelists leading discussions to have audiences think about transportation in new ways, present progressive and imaginative solutions to problems, and encourage engagement in creating change. Sessions are free, but are limited to approximately 50 people.

Changing Gears runs March 22 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Pearkes Recreation Centre (3100 Tillicum Rd.).

Admission to the expo is free.

Visit changinggears2014.org for details.
