Saanich seeks appointee for library board

Saanich residents looking to serve their community have a chance to do so by sitting on the Greater Victoria Public Library board.

Applications are being accepted until June 4 from individuals keen to further the GVPL’s mission “to provide universal access to secure and safe library services, to foster the love of reading, and to enhance the quality of life in our community.”

The term would expire in December 2015.

Board members must be able to commit to attend once-a-month board meetings, complete monthly board and committee work (two to four hours each month), and agree to the terms of the GVPL’s code of ethics.

For info, visit saanich.ca or contact Saanich’s legislative division at clerksec@saanich.ca or 250-475-1775.
