West Shore RCMP search ends in arrest, drug seizure

Drugs, cash and paraphernalia were among the loot hauled away by West Shore RCMP during a search of a house in Langford on Sunday, March 30.

Police executed a search warrant in the 600-block of Sunshine Terrace at about 1:45 a.m., arresting a 35-year-old man and confiscating more than two pounds of marijuana, 17 grams of cocaine and 24 grams of MDMA. Also seized was cash, cell phones and drug paraphernalia police say are consistent with selling drugs.

The accused, whose name has not yet been released, is due to appear in court on May 29 to face charges of possession for the purpose of trafficking.

The search is the second in the past three months at this particular house. The first search, on January 24, resulted in the arrest of a 21-year-old man for running a dial-a-dope operation.
