Man locked inside the car he broke into

A man's apparent attempt at stealing from a car was thwarted when he was locked inside.

At 4 a.m. Monday, residents at a house on Bushby Street heard a commotion outside and saw a man inside their vehicle. The husband grabbed his keys and remotely locked the doors, then called police.

Unable to escape, the man was still inside when officers arrived. The 22-year-old was arrested for breaching his conditional sentence order from previous criminal charges.
