Victoria police Taser man attempting suicide

Victoria police used a Taser on Sunday afternoon to conclude a tense standoff in a small apartment suite on the 1200-block North Park St.

Responding to a 911 call, the police entered the apartment and found the man slashing himself with a large kitchen knife.

When the man moved the knife to his throat, the cops Tasered him and caused the 46-year-old Victoria man to drop the knife. He was taken into custody.
