Career burglar arrested by VicPD
An Ontario man with a lengthy criminal history was arrested by Victoria police Tuesday following a break and enter in the Hillside area.
Jason Drummie, 38, is suspected of breaking into a home in the 3000-block of Josette Pl. and stole a number of items, including electronics, video games, movies, and a ring which had belonged to the victim's deceased grandmother.
Upon Drummie's arrest, the stolen property was recovered and returned to the owners.
Police also discovered other items in Drummie's possession which may be connected to other break and enters on the Island.
Drummie is wanted in Ontario on three outstanding warrants, and has a long history of property crime. He was charged with break and enter and possession of stolen property for this most recent offence.
