Panhandler keeps Victoria police busy
An aggressive downtown Victoria panhandler spent last week in and out of police custody.
Craig Wilson, 26, was arrested five times in 11 days – including three last week and most recently on Saturday – for breaching court-ordered conditions, possession of stolen property and possession of a controlled substance, among other allegations.
Victoria police are working to determine if there are support services that may help the suspect, said Const. Mike Russell, police spokesperson.
Wilson, who was in Victoria court Monday, also faces several outstanding arrest warrants from across Canada.
