Greater Victoria hospitals campaign gets boost from bank
A recent donation of $125,000 from CIBC pushed the Victoria Hospitals Foundation’s Building Care Together campaign pledge total to $11.85 million.
The bank's donation, to be spread over five years, was targeted to oncology care at the Royal Jubilee Hospital's new Patient Care Centre.
“We are committed to working with organizations to support those living with cancer," said Nicole Davis, CIBC’s senior manager of community investment for Western Canada. She called the Patient Care Centre a "world-class hospital that allows for the best possible patient outcomes, by creating a leading-edge healing environment.”
Since 1989, the foundation has raised more than $80 million for equipment in the region's two major hospitals, Victoria General and Royal Jubilee.
