UPDATE: Victoria, Saanich police seize drugs, cash in searches
Victoria Police and Saanich Police executed three search warrants on Thursday, netting $45,000 worth of cash and drugs.
Police seized more than $30,000 worth of drugs in the raids, including 7.5 ounces of cocaine and two ounces of heroin. Drug trafficking paraphernalia, $15,000 cash, and a 2004 Acura were also seized.
Police searched homes in the 3200-block of Glasgow Ave., 1600-block of Ash Rd., and the 800-block of Seven Oaks in relation to an ongoing investigation.
A drug search warrant executed in the 1400-block of Fort Street on June 8 gleaned evidence that made yesterday's raid possible, said VicPD Const. Mike Russell.
“We have been aware of this crew for a while now,” said Cst. Jeff Lawson of VicPD’s Strikeforce.
A 26-year-old Saanich man and 23-year-old Saanich man were arrested on drug-related charges at 10 a.m. on Thursday.
