Cougar sighting in James Bay: Victoria Police
Victoria Police are warning James Bay residents of a possible cougar in the area.
A worker said he spotted a cougar near the interection of Montreal Street and Simcoe Avenue around 10 a.m. this morning, police said.
"He was very confident that it was a cougar," Const. Mike Russell said in a statement.
Officers are currently on scene searching for the cougar, and local schools have been advised, Russell said.
