Another possible cougar sighting in James Bay: VicPD
A James Bay resident reported a cougar sighting early Monday morning, the third such sighting in as many weeks in Victoria.
The sighting occurred in the 100-block of Oswego St., near the James Bay community school centre, said Mark MacIntyre, Victoria Police Department spokesman.
VicPD officers are patrolling the area, the B.C. conservation officer service has been notified and schools in the area have also been advised and are working with police to ensure everyone’s safety, MacIntyre said.
Similar cougar sightings were reported Nov. 8 in James Bay and Nov. 15 in Fairfield near Ross Bay cemetery.
