Victoria artist Anne Hansen smiled as she covered her four-by-five-foot painting of sea life, "Red Sky In the Morning Sailors Take Warning," with black paint on Wednesday.

Her action was orchestrated to protest the proposed Enbridge Northern Gateway pipeline. She set up her painting on the walkway below the Delta Ocean Pointe Resort and Spa, where public hearings are being held this week.
