West Shore RCMP seek suspect after child approached in View Royal

Police are seeking a suspect after a child was approached yesterday morning near his elementary school.

West Shore RCMP received a report of a suspicious man approaching a student near View Royal elementary School around 8:40 a.m. yesterday (April 10).

The man was driving a red mid-sized pickup truck and got out of his vehicle and asked the student  if he wanted to play video games. He did not try to grab the student, and no similar reports have been received by police.

The suspect is described as dark skin, approximately 20 to 30 years old, with short hair.
