Monday team takes home gold

Monday Magazine took home four golds and a silver at the BC Yukon Community Newspaper Ma Murray Awards held at the River Rock Casino in Richmond on Sat., April 20.

Cartoonist Joseph Williams won gold for his edgy and politically relevant cartooning skills.

Photographer Al Smith picked up gold for his stunning cover portrait of  Lindsay Van Gyn in our “Queen Mudder” feature.

News editor Danielle Pope won gold for business writing with her “Chicken Little and the big business of eggs” feature.

The Monday team also picked up gold for the 2012 Student Survival Guide, and a silver Environmental Initiative Award for its Bio-Diesel feature that ran in last year’s Earth Week edition.
