Happy Victoria Day!

Victoria Day Parade 2013

Crowds lined Douglas Street to watch the 115th annual Island Farms Victoria Day Parade commemorating Queen Victoria's birthday. The Naden Band of Maritime Forces were the first band starting the three hour parade that included 15 military entries, four local marching bands, floats, clowns, seventeen bands from the United States and much more with a total of 129 entries. The parade is the second-oldest continuously running parade in Canada, second only to the St. Patrick Day parade in Montreal.
