Victoria police seek witnesses in downtown stabbing

A 26-year-old man is in hospital after he was stabbed multiple times in the 700-block of Johnson St. early Saturday morning.

The man had been walking home alone when the altercation took place, said Bowen Osoko, VicPD spokesman.

Officers provided first aid until an ambulance arrived; the man underwent surgery and is recovering from his non-life threatening injuries, Osoko said.

The suspect is still at large, he added.

Potential witnesses to the incident are asked to call 250-995-7654.
