RCMP confiscated a handgun, ammunition and a small amount of narcotics from the from the victim's home.RCMP believe the handgun is the same one the victim was carrying when the vehicle left.

Police have not determined if the narcotics belonged to the victim or the suspect.

The victim was not arrested, "At this point we are treating him as a victim," said Beckett.

There is no description available for the SUV driver who was last seen heading down Happy Valley Road.

"This happened in broad daylight and someone must have seen something," said Cpl. Kathy Rochlitz, West Shore RCMP. "We believe this is a targeted situation and believe two individuals know each other."
