Downtown Victoria robbery ends in quick arrest

A downtown employee was robbed at knifepoint in the 2000-block of Government St. on Sunday night.

The victim, who was on break with a fellow co-worker at the time of the robbery, called 911 immediately after the incident, while witnesses kept the thief in sight until police arrived.

A 41-year-old Victoria man, well-known to police, was in court this morning for robbery charges.
