Victoria police look for suspect in Beacon Hill Park stabbing

A 49-year-old Victoria man is recovering in hospital after being stabbed in the neck in Beacon Hill Park Saturday night.

VicPD officers responded to the incident just before midnight. A man was reportedly seen fleeing on foot towards Dallas Road, but police haven't been able to identify a suspect.

The victim underwent surgery for non-life-threatening injuries and is recovering in hospital, said VicPD spokesman Bowen Osoko.

Anyone with relevant information is asked to call VicPD at 250-995-7654 or report anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
