Dial a doper disconnected in Langford

A “dial a dope” operation in Langford has been shut down by West Shore RCMP with an executed search warrant and an arrest.

On Jan. 24, a month-long investigation culminated in a search warrant for the residence of a 20-year-old male living on Sunshine Terrace. Inside police found marijuana, growing equipment, a replica handgun and paraphernalia associated with selling drugs, including a money counter and scales.

Police also found seven half-gram baggies of cocaine on the suspect.

The man, whose name has not yet been released, faces charges of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking. He will appear in court on March 13.
