Police request assistance in solving Colwood assault

A man was attacked in front of the Little Caesars Pizza in Colwood and taken to hospital via ambulance, Feb. 17.

The victim has ordered a pizza and was waiting outside on the sidewalk when a male approached him and punched him several times.

The suspect is described as six-foot-three inches tall with short hair. He was wearing a dark-coloured jacket with a light-coloured  T-shirt and dark pants.

The suspect was driving an older-style silver or grey Jeep Cherokee, it may have been a 1990 model with a roof rack.

West RCMP responded to the Hatley Park Plaza, 2244 Sooke Rd. around 8:45 p.m.

"There were other people in the parking lot at the time of the assault and we are hoping the public can assist us in identifying this suspect," said Cpl. Kathy Rochlitz, West Shore RCMP.

RCMP is asking anyone who was in the area of the Hatley Park Plaza on Monday, Feb. 17 around 8:45 p.m. that may have seen the assault to contact the detachment at 250-474-2264.
