Photographers and filmmakers work sought for B.C. Day

Calling all photographers and filmmakers.

Celebrate B.C. Day seeks province-wide submissions from photographers and filmmakers to be featured at this summer's celebration in Victoria.

The day-long free event will offer a wide range of entertainment and activities at St. Ann's Academy on Aug. 4, including the Capture B.C. photo exhibit and Through the B.C. Lens film screenings.

Amateur and professional filmmakers and photographers are encouraged to make submissions that recognize and celebrate the province's diverse cultural, social or geographical history.

Last year's exhibits featured images and films by selected artists from 15 B.C. communities.

For more information regarding this year's event, or to submit an application, please go online to celebratebcday.com.
