Soccer tryouts set for B.C. Summer Games

Tryouts for the Zone 6 (Vancouver Island and Sunshine Coast) B.C. Summer Games soccer team will be held on the South Island, beginning this week.

Evaluations take place regionally in Victoria and Nanaimo. The final evaluations sessions is in Ladysmith.

Head coaches this year are Ken Garraway (boys) and Janelle Smith (girls).

Tryouts are open to players born in 2002 and 2003.

Girl evaluations are at the Finlayson turf on April 15 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. The boys hit the field at Layritz on April 11 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. and April 16, 6 to 7:30 p.m.

There is a $10 registration fee. Female players can register here and Males here.
