Sidney teen found safe in the Okanagan

Mikayla Savage, 17, has been found safe in the Okanagan.

Savage, from Sidney, was reported missing after having last contacted her family on May 22. She was last seen by her family on May 19.

Sidney North Saanich RCMP report today that Savage has been located and that police are no longer concerned for her safety or well being. They report in a media release that Savage has reached out to contact her family, who they say are grateful for the public's support.

"The public response from the Okanagan Region was overwhelming and was instrumental in bringing this investigation to conclusion and enabling the police, on behalf of Mikayla's parents, to confirm her safety," stated the RCMP.

The police thank the public for their assistance in locating the missing teen.
