Island Health declared a Saanich long-term care home’s COVID-19 outbreak over on Monday, while a new one was issued in Nanaimo.

The Heights at Mt. View outbreak, which included one resident and one staff case, is now over.

In Nanaimo, three resident cases prompted an outbreak at the Chartwell Malaspina Care Residence. Only the care home’s Sandpiper unit is affected at this time. Outbreak protocols have been implemented at the site.
