A new entrance, pedestrian plaza and more landscaping are being proposed as part of a multi-million-dollar expansion of Mayfair Mall.

A new entrance, pedestrian plaza and more landscaping are being proposed as part of a multi-million-dollar expansion of Mayfair Mall.

The proposed expansion includes building out the west edge of the property along Douglas Street with approximately 85,000 square feet of new retail space, along with a new two-level parking deck. The mall will also be refurbished with new floors and ceilings, while some stores will be added in the central area of the mall.

A new entrance is also being proposed on Douglas Street, as well as a pedestrian plaza with benches and planting at the intersection of Douglas and Finlayson streets.

In August, the mall announced a $72-million expansion and renovation, slated for completion in fall 2018.
