VicPD investigating after cyclist struck in 2100 block of Richmond Road

Richmond Road was closed to northbound traffic near Fort Street after a cyclist was struck Wednesday afternoon.

A cyclist was taken to hospital with non life threatening injuries after being hit in the 2100-block of Richmond Road just before 2:30 p.m.

Victoria police said two motorists were involved in the incident.

Yellow police tape cordons off the intersection of Richmond Road and Coronation Avenue. A truck with a flat tire and a scrape down the side sits in the intersection, while shoes and a jacket are strewn on the pavement.

Victoria police are seeking more witnesses.
