It was a busy Friday morning in Tent City, Victoria’s homeless encapment.

Workers were busy hooking up electrical boxes in the Provincial courthouse parking lot in preparation for the installation of showers for the homeless encampment. At the same time police officers were handcuffing a man on the other side of the lot, a sign of the increased patrolling of the area by police following an escalation of problems in the area.

The province is heading to court today to seek an injunction to shut down the problem-plagued ad-hoc homeless shelter.
