UPDATE: Power back on across Saanich

Power outage affected Broadmead, Ten Mile Point, and an area near Carey Road and Wilkinson Road

Power is back on across Saanich following a temporary outage Sunday afternoon.

According to BC Hydro, power outages affected the Broadmead neighbourhood, the Ten Point Mile neighbourhood of Cadboro Bay and a small pocket of the area around Carey Road and Wilkinson Road.

According to BC Hydro, a fault substation bore responsiblity for the power outages in the Broadmead and Ten Point Mile areas. It is not clear what caused the power outage that affected a small around around Carey Road and Wilkinson Road.

The Saanich News also received unconfirmed reports of traffic delays because of the power outages along Quadra Street and West Saanich Road.
