Lockout, not strike, was the problem

Re: Postal strike blamed for lagging donations (News, Aug. 26)

The profound impact Melanie McKenzie ascribes to the postal strike should more correctly be laid at the feet of Canada Post management and their lockout of the workers.

The posties are getting the blame these days for all kinds of misguided policies recently put in place, like having Vancouver Island mail sent to Vancouver for sorting, and then sent back again. Please get your facts right and don’t call a lockout a strike.
