Chargers named all-Canadians

Third-year Camosun Chargers basketball players Chelsea McMullen and Blake Mansbridge were named as 2010-2011 SIRC-CCAA Academic All-Canadian Award recipients.

The Sport Information Resource Centre and Canadian Colleges Athletic Association awarded 143 student-athletes, up from 119 last year.

Mansbridge completed the 2010-2011 season with 285 points and ranked sixth in the league with an average of 16.8 points per game while studying an associate of arts degree. McMullen earned academic honours as a second-year student in Camosun’s sport management program and was named to B.C.’s first all-star team averaging 20.5 points and 7.44 rebounds per game.
