Victoria paddlers at B.C. canoe and kayak championships
Elias de Valle had a busy weekend competing in the B.C. canoe and kayak championships in Burnaby. De Valle is one of many Victoria Youth Paddling Club athletes competing at the championships.
On Saturday de Valle was third in the midget men's K1 (solo) 1,000-metre behind VYPC teammates Patrick Dann and Eric Fast.
Dann, Fast and De Valle also first, second and third in the midget K1 500 m, though Dann narrowly edged de Valle to win the 200 m sprint, with Fast coming third.
Dann and de Valle paired for two second-place finishes, in the K2 500 m and K2 1,000 m.
More results from the canoe and kayak championships to come.
