The Saanich Braves make the short trip up Saanich Road to Panorama Recreation Centre on Friday (Sept. 16) to play the reigning B.C. champion Peninsula Panthers.

Nick Vanstone scored two for Saanich and rookie forward Connor Krupa scored his first junior-B goal. Scoring during regulation for Peninsula was Dane Gibson with two and Cody Allison with the other.
The Braves split their first two games, bouncing back from a 7-6 loss to the Kerry Park Islanders on Friday (Sept. 9) with a 4-2 win over the Oceanside Generals on Saturday (Sept. 10).
Peninsula started slow, as the league champions from the past two seasons lost its first two games, 5-2 and 3-1 to the Comox Valley Glaciers.
