Grizzlies move top scorer Wade Murphy at deadline
Wade Murphy will end his junior days with the Penticton Vees.
Grizzlies general Vic Gervais had already accepted defeat for this season, but on Tuesday, the junior trade deadline, he made it official.
Gervais traded Murphy, the team's leading scorer, to Penticton for forward Mark McLellan (1994-born) and future considerations.
Murphy joins former Grizzlies defenceman Nick Buchanan, who was traded there earlier this season. The Grizzlies had also traded captain Sean Robertson to the Vernon Vipers.
Grizzlies also sent Goalie Jamie Tucker and forward Mike Collins went to the Dauphin Kings, Mike Moran to the Spruce Grove Saints, and Jarryd Ten Vaanholt to the Prince George Spruce Kings, all for future considerations.
