Home builders' associations unite

CHBA-Victoria and CHBA-Central Vancouver Island become one

The Canadian Home Builders’ Association of B.C. has united CHBA-Victoria and CHBA-Central Vancouver Island into one strengthened association: CHBA-Vancouver Island.

The merger offers members all the benefits of CHBA B.C. membership at three levels: local, provincial and national including access to the latest in education and training, advocacy, awards and conferences while allowing for greater efficiencies at the local level.

“We are excited about the possibilities that merging our two branches offers and to representing all of Vancouver Island,” said CHBA-Vancouver Island president Chris Cross.

“Together, we will be a stronger voice for our members.”

The Canadian Home Builders’ Association of B.C. is the voice of the residential construction industry in British Columbia representing more than 1,500 members through an affiliated network of nine local home-building associations located throughout the province.

The industry contributes over $15.8 billion to British Columbia’s economy, and provides 134,500 jobs, making the industry one of the largest employers in the province.
