Victoria’s Bay Centre unveils electric car chargers in parkade

Victoria's Bay Centre shopping mall unveiled four new electric vehicle charging stations in the centre's parkade.

Bay Centre General Manager Darlene Hollstein along with Fred Wissemann, President of the Victoria Leaf Club, officially unveiled the four new electric vehicle charging stations in the shopping mall’s lower parkade.

The charging station area has been decorated with a natural forest look

The charging stations were created with help from the BC’s Community Charging Infrastructure Fund. The fund is expected to help in the funding and creation of 570 charging stations across the province.

The Victoria Leaf Club is a group of electric car owners who actively promote sustainable energy use in and around greater Victoria.
