All dressed up for a Victoria bike ride

The Tweed Ride is puts wheel in motion for fourth annual event

The Tweed Ride is returning to Victoria for its fourth year on Sept. 14.

The event is a bicycle ride to recreate the spirit of a bygone era with riders dressed in classic tweed or smart looking outfits.

Pre-registration for the ride is required. The registration fee is $10. Children under 12 are free. Register online at tweedridevictoria.ca

All proceeds from the event support Bicycles for Humanity, a grassroots movement that donates used bicycles to people in developing countries.

The ride begins at St. Ann’s Academy and ends at Esquimalt Gorge Park with tea provided by David’s Tea. Bring a lunch to have with your tea.

The ride is hosted by the Greater Victoria Cycling Coalition.
