Breakfast supports Alzheimer research

Supporters attendance will raise funds for research for a cure, education programs and support services

The Alzheimer Society of B.C., hopes to raise awareness about the impact dementia has in the workplace with the annual A Breakfast to Remember at the Hotel Grand Pacific Victoria on Tuesday (Feb. 24).

CTV’s Bruce Williams will emcee the event with speakers such as Doug Pearce, former CEO of the B.C. Investment Management Corp. and Dr. Stuart MacDonald, associate medical professor at the University of Victoria.

“There are over 70,000 British Columbians living with Alzheimer’s disease or another dementia, a figure expected to double by 2038,” says Alzheimer Society of B.C. CEO Maria Howard.

Supporters attendance will raise funds for research for a cure, education programs and support services.
