Canadian Club hosts Afghan war veteran

Afghanistan veteran Col. (retired) James Hammond is the featured guest speaker at the Canadian Club luncheon on Oct. 21 at the Coast Harbourside Hotel.

Hammond served  two tours of duty in Afghanistan as well as stints in Germany, Brunei, Bosnia and England in a variety of command and staff positions in the infantry and special forces.

The the luncheon is $25 for members of the Canadian Club and $30 for non-members. Guests are welcome but reservations are required. Please call 250-370-1837 by Oct. 17. The Coast Harbourside Hotel is at 146 Kingston St.
