The Vancouver Island Construction Association Under 40 network is hosting a glitzy event for a good cause Jan. 30, transforming the Marriott Inner Harbour hotel into a casino.

All proceeds from the event will benefit the Victoria Dandelion Society, which provides help to the region's homeless residents including a daily coffee and muffin to those sleeping on the streets.

Tickets are $75 or $125/couple and include light dinner and $100 in casino money.

Organizers are still looking for sponsors for the event. Visit bit.ly/KhGKdd or call (250) 388-6471.
