Esquimalt has put out a call for artists to create works of art, especially lantern art, for its annual lantern festival.
The pieces are to capture the magic of the event that begins at 6 p.m. on Sept. 24 with a lantern walk along Westbay Walkway to Barnard Park. The event continues in Captain Jacobson Park, where there will be music and dancing until 10 p.m.
