A home situated within picturesque Saxe Point Park in Esquimalt will be publicly fêted on Saturday (Nov. 12).
A plaque will be unveiled at 11 a.m. at Chafe House in recognition of now deceased Esquimalt residents Walter and Eva Chafe, who bequeathed their home to the township.
The township spent $45,000 in interior and exterior upgrades to the house before the non-profit Rock Solid Foundation, which provides anti-bullying education to school children, could move in earlier this year. The home also comes with an upkeep and ongoing maintenance fund.
